Winter Warmer for Balance

In this Winter Warmer for Balance session, we’ll honour the season of hibernation by turning inward—connecting with self and restoring balance between Yin and Yang energy in the body. We’ll begin with gentle Yang movement (dynamic stretching) to release stagnant energy, then transition into longer-held Yin poses, using breath to soften, deepen, and go inward.

Where breath goes, energy flows. Our breath will guide us in calming the nervous system and creating balance throughout the body. Each movement and posture becomes a breathing practice—inviting the breath to travel deeper into the body, especially during stillness and holds.

You will need:

  • A mat

  • 2 blocks

  • Optional pillow & blanket
