In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), fall is associated with the Metal element, which governs the energy of the Lungs (yin organ) and Large Intestine (yang organ). Last year, I explored this concept in more detail—read that article here.

Recently, in my gentle flow classes, both online and in-person, we embraced the change of season by focusing on these vital meridians. For reference, the Lung meridian runs from the thumb, along the inside of the arm, to the chest, while the Large Intestine meridian flows from the index finger, along the outside of the arm, to the upper back (with some points on the face). In these sessions, we worked on clearing stagnant energy, creating space for fresh breath and vitality. If you're curious to experience it for yourself, the full class is available in the video membership (with the first month free). You can access the video I'm referring to here.

A Simple Exercise to Strengthen Your Lungs

In this post, I’m sharing a clip from the online class (referred to above), where we practice expanding lung capacity to build strength and improve overall lung health. Try it for yourself and feel the difference in your breath and energy.

How Do You Feel Now?

After practising this exercise, take a moment to notice any shifts in your energy and breath. If this resonated with you, consider exploring the full class through my video membership—your first month is free.

For more personalized guidance or to join future sessions, feel free to reach out. I offer a variety of online and in-person sessions to help you cultivate balance, health, and clarity in your life. Let’s continue this journey together.
