Winter invites us to slow down, yet so often we keep pushing, judging ourselves, and moving through life on autopilot.
Winter Pause is your invitation to do something different.
Join Mindfulness Coach Jen Leung and Yoga & Qigong Teacher Carrie Bergen-Geisel for a nourishing winter afternoon devoted to rest, reflection, and reconnecting with yourself and others through the practice of self-compassion.
This special two-hour experience is designed to help you take a true pause and spend time with yourself and other women in a way that feels supportive, gentle, and deeply grounding. Together, we’ll explore what it means to meet yourself with kindness and how to carry that compassion into your everyday life.
Jen will begin the afternoon by guiding you through an accessible and heartfelt introduction to mindfulness and self-compassion.
In this session, you’ll learn how to:
Become more aware of your inner dialogue and self-judgment
Use simple tools like the Strategic Pause and breath awareness to ground yourself in moments of stress
Practice self-compassion as a real-life skill and how to shift from self-criticism to kindness
Set a small, meaningful intention rooted in your values to support you beyond the event
This is about building resilience not by doing more but by learning to be gentler with yourself.
(25 minutes)

Next, Carrie will guide you through a slow, nurturing movement experience designed to help you connect with your body in a compassionate way.
You’ll be led through:
A gentle standing Qigong flow to release tension and stress
Soft, supportive stretches on the floor or in a chair, whatever feels best for your body
Quiet moments of reflection to listen inward
This practice isn’t about flexibility or performance.
It’s about moving lovingly, tuning into the messages of your body and soul, and practicing self-compassion through mindful presence and care.
No yoga or Qigong experience is needed.
(45 minutes)
Once your body is feeling relaxed and restored, Jen will guide you through a calming mindfulness meditation focused on strengthening your capacity for self-compassion.
This gentle meditation will help you:
Soften self-judgment
Deepen inner support
Anchor into a kinder way of being with yourself
(20 minutes)

We’ll close our time together with a warm and welcoming Tea & Talk.
Enjoy tea, light snacks, and meaningful conversation as we reflect on the experience and explore how you can bring what you’ve discovered into your day-to-day life. This is a space for connection, integration, and gentle support. Self-compassion grows even deeper in community.
