Regular time on my mat has become my sanctuary for reducing stress, anxiety, and the release of pent-up tension within my body.

Have you ever wondered if yoga teachers embody a perpetual state of zen? While I wish that were the case, the truth is, like many, I diligently have to work on mindfulness on a regular basis.

Curiously enough, it's my Type A overachiever tendencies that led me to embrace yoga wholeheartedly! My initial encounter with yoga was during my early 30s when I was working in the demanding corporate world, striving to get ahead. The connection was instantaneous and profound.
