I will lead you through a relaxing yin yoga practice and will end with a Yoga Nidra meditation. Afterwards, you are welcome to stay for a short chat to discuss your experience, or close your device and enjoy the relaxed state you will be in.
Yin focuses on holding poses for a longer period of time (2 to 5 minutes) for the plastic tissues, ligaments, tendons and fascia. In Yin Yoga, you work through the posture to find your comfortable edge. Ideally, you'll go into about 25% capacity of the stretch as you want to experience sensation, however, you NEVER want to experience sharp shooting pain or extreme discomfort in the body. 
Through the longer holds Yin Yoga helps to balance the internal organs and improve the flow of prana/qi throughout the body. Yin postures help rush blood to areas that are 'off the beaten path'. We'll make this class more restorative by using lots of props listed below.
Yoga Nidra, often referred to as "yogic sleep," is a deeply relaxing and meditative practice that aims to induce a state of conscious relaxation and heightened awareness. It is a systematic method of guided meditation that leads you into a state of profound relaxation while remaining fully conscious.
Yoga Nidra is known for its numerous benefits, including stress reduction, improved sleep, enhanced creativity, heightened self-awareness, and a sense of inner peace and calm. It is particularly helpful for those dealing with anxiety, insomnia, and high-stress levels. Regular practice can lead to a deeper connection with oneself and a greater sense of overall well-being.
For this class, you will need the following items;

We all know that we need to nourish our bodies at lunchtime with food to give us the energy to move forward. It's also important to nourish our mind, muscles and joints to reset our nervous system and feel good in our body.
Designed for desk workers, this gentle stretch session targets stiffness from prolonged sitting and computer use, while soothing breathwork helps to melt away stress. We'll conclude with a short meditation to allow you to rest your eyes, refresh your spirit and return to your afternoon with renewed energy.

We'll start with a breathing exercise to calm the nervous system, stretch the body with gentle movement and end with a short guided meditation. You'll leave the session feeling grounded and refreshed, ready to take on the day.
This flow session offers a blend of Qigong, Yoga and other feel-good movements to help you calm your nervous system, get the blood circulating within your body, stretch out tight muscles, improve mobility and bring peace into your life. The mood of these classes is light, fun and relaxing.

We will do some standing work with the aid of the chair. Modifications will be provided to suit your needs. Through soothing breathwork, gentle stretching, and feel-good movement, you'll ease tension and create space in your body, leaving you feeling refreshed and restored. Whether you're new to yoga or looking for a supportive way to move, this class offers a welcoming and inclusive space within a tropical setting. Yin yoga focuses on longer stretches for the plastic tissues, ligaments, tendons and fascia. Through the longer holds, yin yoga helps to balance the internal organs and improve the flow of prana/qi throughout the body. I suggest wearing pyjamas and getting yourself ready for bed. This class could even be done in bed as I leave you in Savasana to drift off to sleep.

Press pause on the busyness of life and sink into an afternoon designed for deep rest and radiant self-care. We’ll begin with a 30-minute self-care ritual where I’ll guide you through simple acupressure points to ease tension and a soothing facial massage on yourself to tone the skin and awaken your natural glow. You’ll also receive a handout so you can continue this nourishing practice at home.
From there, settle into 90 minutes of deeply restorative yoga enhanced with the warmth of hot stones. To heighten relaxation, I’ll also provide each participant with a gentle scalp massage. This experience is all about slowing down, releasing stress, and reconnecting with yourself.
This short reprieve offers the perfect blend of self-care, soothing touch, and deep restoration. To enhance the experience, we’ll be using seed and/or nut oils combined with essential oils. If you have any allergies or sensitivities, please let me know in advance.
The event will be held at Springhill Yoga, 129 Louisa Street in Baden.
